Ancestry – Comprehensive Health Conditions

Ancestry Comprehensive Health Conditions

Ancestry Raw Data Interpretation

We believe in preventive work. The information uncovered in this report is arguably the most valuable you will find about your genetic make-up.

This genetic health conditions report extracted from Ancestry raw data, will display genes where you have mutations and therefore a possible increased risk for any of the correspondent conditions listed below. A mutation does not mean you will develop such condition, it only shows that according to research published on PubMed there might be an increased risk.

The overall risk for an individual to develop such condition is influenced not just by genetic mutations but also epigenetic factors such as environment, diet, lifestyle, exposure to toxic materials, medications, stress etc.

Why do we need this report? Ancestry only gives you very limited health related information and mostly hereditary information. Even if you have family members with particular health conditions you don’t really know if you have those genes. This is a very comprehensive report that will show mutations associated with 100+ health conditions (listed below). Genetic science is very precise and although having a mutation on a gene linked to any of the conditions below may not be used to suggest you will develop it, it gives you an idea of what might place you with an increased risk for a condition. Most health conditions are controlled by multiple genes and the expression of these genes are affected by methylation and epigenetic factors.

We also suggest you purchase the methylation report as methylation is the process that can turn genes on and off and will go hand-in-hand with the information you will find in this report. Also not provide by Ancestry.

These results have not been evaluated by the FDA and are for informational and research purposes only and not meant for diagnosis. You should take these results to a doctor that understands genetic mutations to help you identify potential risks and to guide you on the right direction. Preferably someone that is familiar with Ancestry.

Finding a doctor that understands MTHFR is hard to find. Once you have your results in hands, a good place to start is to consult with anyone listed in our directory.

The results are displayed in alphabetical order of associated condition. We will only display genes that Ancestr has reported a mutation, to make it easier for you and your doctor to identify areas where you want to focus.

As with all reports, we are constantly researching and updating our database. As long as you do not delete your file from your account your results will be automatically updated whenever we add new information and/or genes, so check regularly.
